The Society for Social Studies of Science (4S) is an international, nonprofit association that fosters interdisciplinary and engaged scholarship in social studies of science, technology, and medicine. The conference theme is: Good Relations - Practices and Methods in Unequal and Uncertain Worlds.
Angelika Adensamer will speak on the topic “Questions of fact and questions of law: algorithmic classifications and categories as an intersection”.
Nikolaus Pöchhacker will speak on the topic “Calculative Normativity Algorithms and Machine Learning as a Challenge for Legal Systems – A Media Sensitive Approach”. In addition, he organizes the session “Legal Technologies: The Need For STS-Analyses – I” and holds the chair to “Legal Technologies: The Need For STS-Analyses – II”.
