The Smart Regulation Symposium will take place on October 8, 2021 at Graz and will focus on the topic "Theory- and Evidence-Based Policy".
The first panel, chaired by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Reinhold Esterbauer, is dedicated to the issue "Theory- and evidence-based health policy in relation to socio-technical systems? Ethical Challenges".
Technical innovations and artificial intelligence are finding their way into medicine and care at an increasingly rapid pace. This also poses new challenges for policy and management. Among other things, it is necessary to discuss to what extent a theory- and evidence-based health policy can be organised under these circumstances and under which ethical challenges such a policy stands.
The keynote "Medical Law and Medical Ethics in Relation to Health Policy" will be presented by Prof. Dr. Tanja Henking, University of Würzburg. Prof. Dr. Herwig Ostermann, Gesundheit Österreich GmbH, Wien and Prof. Dr. Martina Schmidhuber, University of Graz as well as Ass.-Prof. Dr. Sebastian Scholz, University of Graz, Department Eisenberger, will give co-talks.
