Algorithms, Law and Society – Decision Makers Between Algorithmic Governance and Personal Responsibility

Mag.a Angelika Adensamer, MSc, Researcher and doctoral candidate at the Institute for Public Law and Political Science in the Department Eisenberger, presented the results from the project AʟɢᴏJᴜꜱ at the 19th Annual STS Conference at TU Graz together with Dipl.-Ing. Lukas Daniel Klausner (St. Pölten UAS, Institute of IT Security Research). The project with the title “Algorithms, Law and Society – Decision Makers Between Algorithmic Governance and Personal Responsibility” was funded by the Vienna Chamber of Labour through its Digitalisierungsfonds Arbeit 4.0. The results include (besides scientific articles) guidelines and an interactive tool to ensure responsibility and accountability when automatic decision support systems are introduced within an organisation.
