About Univ.-Prof. Prof.(eh) Dr. Georg Eisenberger

Prof. Dr. Georg Eisenberger is a partner of the law firm Eisenberger & Herzog and Head of the practice group Public Law and Environmental Law. He has particular expertise in consultation across Austria in major projects in the field of construction, spatial planning, trade, water, EIA and other administrative law. In these areas of law, Dr. Eisenberger has published more than 40 papers and 10 monographs in scientific journals. Prof. Eisenberger holds the Science Prize of the Austrian municipalities, awarded for the monograph on requirements under regional planning law for the construction of shopping centers in Austria.

Prof. Eisenberger studied at the Faculty of Law of the Karl-Franzens University Graz. He joined the law firm in 1995 and has been admitted to the bar in Austria since the same year. Prof. Eisenberger teaches Construction and Spatial Planning Law at the Technical University of Graz and since 2015 Constitutional and Administrative Law, with particular focus on practical relevance at the Institute of Public Law and Political Science of the Karl-Franzens-University of Graz.

In 2012 and 2013, Prof. Eisenberger was included in the Lawyer Rankings of the magazine "Format" and ranked among the ten leading lawyers in Austria. In 2014, he was nominated Austria's Best Lawyer specialized in the field of Public Environmental Law. In the years 2014 and 2015, Prof. Eisenberger was voted "Lawyer of the Year in Austria" by the specialized magazines "Corporate Intl magazines Global Award" and "Global Law Experts" in the area of "Public Law".
