Maria Bertel
Maria Bertel has been University Professor of Public Law and Digitalisation since 1 October 2023. She previously held the professorship for Public Law with a focus on Administrative Law at the department.
Maria Bertel habilitated at the University of Innsbruck in June 2022 with a thesis on the "Efficiency Principle of the Austrian Federal Constitution", which she wrote as part of an FWF-funded Elise Richter position at the University of Innsbruck, Department for Public Law, Constitutional and Administrative Theory (April 2016 - August 2021). She also held a post-doctoral fellowship at the Central European University in Budapest (April 2018 - April 2019).
