Elisabeth Paar
Elisabeth Paar is a university assistant post-doc at the Department of Public Law and Political Science. Her research focuses on the intersection of constitutional law, legal and state theory and technology law, as well as in the areas of medical law and legal philosophy.
Immediately after completing her law degree at the University of Graz in 2018, Elisabeth Paar worked as a university assistant prae doc at the Department for Public Law and Political Science at the University of Graz (2018-2020) and at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Vienna (2020-2024). During this time, she completed her doctoral studies in law at the University of Graz, graduating with honours in 2024. She wrote her dissertation on the topic of "Constitutional limits to the use of artificial intelligence in court proceedings". Since 2021, she has also been a member of the editorial board of the commentary "Österreichisches Bundesverfassungsrecht", published by Korinek/Holoubek et al.
In 2022-2023, Elisabeth Paar also completed an LL.M. programme at Yale Law School as a Fulbright Scholar. During this period, she was a resident fellow of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School. She continued her work with the Information Society Projects at Yale Law School after her return to Austria. Since October 2023, she has served as lead editor of the ISP White Paper Series on the Digital Public Sphere and is a visiting fellow of the Information Society Project.
